The EODC is Earth Observation (EO) data provider and distributor, specialized in data procurement, management and efficient processing.

In particular, the EODC receives Sentinel data from ESA’s data hub. We apply pre-processing (e.g. format conversion, compression, quality control, etc.) and redistribute the data through our own rolling archive.

Additionally, we process and distribute data products in near real-time (NRT) for specific applications and provide NRT data access to meteorological forecasts and other NRT satellite data.

The S-1 data on the EODC data warehouse are currently available approximately 2.5 hours after their time of processing and 6.25 hours after their acquisition time.

The S-2 Level 1C are being pulled from the ESA data hubs and ingested into EODC's rolling and long-term archives. Level 2A are being produced on-demand by EODC partner University of Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU).

Processing includes orthorectification, radiometric calibration and geocoding using ESA's Sentinel toolbox.
