We are pleased to announce that the EODC Forum 2019, held on the 21st and 22nd of May 2019 at the Vienna University of Technology, was a great success!

We would like to thank the more than 90 participants from 44 organisations, spanning 9 different countries for their attendance, as well as for their active participation. It was again great to see and feel the support that the EODC receives from the public, partners and colleagues in the Earth observation (EO) community and beyond!

This year the EODC Forum was again a two-day event that featured presentations from the public, scientific and private EO sector focusing on general EO developments including talks from ESA, EUMETSAT and EGI. Moreover, presenters with a focus on technical developments, services and user expectations were included in the agenda of the first day. The Expo on the second day offered the opportunity to gain further hands-on insights into the practical activities from EODC and our partners.
Again, the EODC Forum proved to be an optimal opportunity for community building and networking.

Acting directly on the participants feedback the fifth EODC Forum, EODC Forum 2020, is planned to be slightly different, and will be held as a one-day event with a specific thematic focus on „Earth Observation in the Era of Open Science“. We look forward to welcoming you to the fifth EODC Forum in Vienna in May 2020.
